For me, one of the best ways to release anxiety and to change my perspective, is to take myself outside for a walk. Being outside quickly grounds me in the present moment, allowing beautiful space for creativity and imagination to be inspired by my surroundings and a clear head.
On strolls through Old Town and Stadium District I find myself admiring yards and gardens transitioning from the grey, cold months of winter, to the warming, nurturing season of growth. The wet, dreary days are cozy, and this city wears glittering drizzle romantically, cloaking it with mystery and mood. I find myself called to walk the trail along the water, or to weave through the hilly neighborhood streets on rainy days as much as the days the sun brings every inch on the city to life.
